Lights On After School

On October 24, Provident’s Afterschool Program participated in the national Lights On After School event. This nationwide party recognizes and celebrates the important role of afterschool programs for children, families, and communities. Provident currently provides programming in 10 elementary schools, helping to keep kids safe, boost student success, and support working parents.

Even Missouri State Representative Steven Roberts (pictured) got in on the fun, visiting staff and students at Bryan Hill Elementary for the evening.
“This event encourages us to take a moment to reflect on how much Provident’s Afterschool programming helps the children and families in our communities. We provide enriching experiences, social emotional learning, and a safe place for over 800 children each year,” said Gail Sharpe, Director of Youth Programs
