Taking the first step can be hard. We’re here to help.
Care and Counseling has joined Provident Behavioral Health
Care and Counseling has joined Provident Behavioral Health. Like Care and Counseling, Provident serves the entire person, which can include faith-based counseling when clients indicate their preference to do so.
We will be stronger together and expect several positive outcomes from this change:
- Together, Care and Counseling and Provident Behavioral Health will grow our impact by serving more individuals, especially those who qualify for fees based on a sliding scale.
- We will serve as an expanded mental health resource for faith leaders and local organizations, including churches and synagogues.
- We will offer a breadth and depth of expertise that will allow us to serve every age group from young to old, to help those who have mild symptoms and those who struggle with severe illnesses, and will be a resource for those who need immediate assistance or long-term care.
We encourage you to view our Clinical Staff profiles to learn more about the team of professionals who are available to serve you. We also encourage you to look through our How We Help menu to see the many ways the combined efforts of Care and Counseling and Provident Behavioral Health helps the people of our community. We have multiple office locations, including the office at 12141 Ladue Road, and also offer telehealth and telephonic services. Appointments may be made by calling 314-533-8200.

Note: Provident accepts most private insurance and has a sliding fee scale based on financial need. There is no out of pocket expense for counseling or psychiatric services to St. Louis County youth under the age of 20 thanks to a grant from St. Louis County Children's Service Fund.
Clergy Support Groups
Provident Behavioral Health recognizes the unique challenges faced by members of the clergy. We are proud to offer an interfaith Clergy Support Group to support peer-to-peer interaction. Each group is facilitated by a licensed therapist who will prompt and encourage conversation, and assess individuals who may benefit from more intensive services.
You may download and complete the consent form by clicking here or in person at your first meeting.
