Mental Wellness for Academic Success

Our Behavioral Health Intervention Specialists are located in schools and assist school staff in the identification and support of students who could benefit from behavioral health interventions. This is done through coordination and consultation between school staff, parents, and formal assessments. The Behavioral Health Intervention Specialist provides the parents or school with local resources to help the family connect to appropriate long-term resources such as counseling, psychiatric services, substance use services, and any other necessary services the student and/or their family may require.

After resources are given and linkages are made, ongoing support, coaching, and skill-building is provided. Care coordination is a key component of the Behavioral Health Intervention Specialist, providing the best wraparound service to lead to academic success and mental wellness.
