Our Behavioral Health Outreach team made a significant impact across St. Louis by providing essential mental health education to diverse community groups through 2025. Through 2025, they assisted at the Disaster Assistance Center, tabled numerous events, and delivered presentations to youth groups, faith organizations, and local institutions like Mary Ryder Home, covering topics such as suicide prevention, coping with grief, and supporting mental health survivors.
By fostering open discussions and offering resources, the team equips faith communities and other groups with the tools to support those struggling with mental health challenges. At Mary Ryder Home, they’ve been engaging residents in self-care, effective communication, and boundary-setting, helping empower them to take control of their well-being.
The team is also connecting with the broader community through outreach tables. They’ve been at Metro Market and People’s Health Centers, sharing Provident swag and resources, with a special focus on children and older adults. These events are about more than just information—they’re about helping people support their loved ones and connecting those seeking food security, as well as mental health services.
The team expanded their reach with a 4-part presentation series on Emotional Empowerment at the City Library and with Provident’s Clergy Convening: Mental Wellness in the Faith Community meetings. We’re grateful to the Steward Family Foundation and proud of the outreach team’s ongoing dedication to supporting mental wellness and strengthening mental health dialogue across St. Louis.
