It’s back to school time! Our Afterschool team is working hard to welcome back the 750 students we will serve at 10 sites this year; each staff member will receive over 20 hours of training prior to the first day of school with an additional 40 more hours throughout the year.Provident is excited to expand our curriculum with two new programs for 2018-2019.
- STEM GEMS are short, discovery-based experiences designed to enhance learning around science, technology, engineering, and math. The lessons are designed to ignite an interest in these areas.
- Cooking Matters engages kids ages 8 to 12 in learning about healthy eating and provides simple nutritious recipes that children can prepare themselves. Provident is partnering with Operation Food Search to deliver this program.
