September is National Suicide Prevention Month. All month, mental health advocates, prevention organizations, survivors, allies, and community members unite to promote suicide prevention awareness. As part of this month-long observance, the St. Louis Suicide Prevention Coalition (which includes representation from Provident) will host Suicide Prevention Day on Friday, September 7 from 9am-12pm at the Elks Lodge #9 in Creve Coeur.

The vision for the newly created Coalition is a St. Louis community that is suicide-safe. Their mission is to foster an engaged community dedicated to preventing suicide in the St. Louis area by providing training, treatment and advocacy. This event will introduce the Coalition to the community and will focus on suicide prevention and intervention advocacy, training, and access to treatment.

There is no cost to attend. Seating is limited, RSVP required.
