New Behavioral Health Access Center Exceeds Expectations

The Provident team has a new way to define success now that the Access Center is open helping clients. Here’s an example:

The PCS team received a call on the lifeline from a client who was in crisis. Staff knew this person could benefit from an in-person meeting and were able to keep the client talking as they were driven to the Provident office and immediately met by an Access Center team member. This kind of quick action is now possible because of our new services.

“The early success of the Access Center shows what a demand there is for the life-saving services Provident provides. It took vision and teamwork to make this happen; we should all feel extremely proud of what we’ve accomplished in such a short time.” said Lindsay Jeffries, Director of Clinical Services.

The Access Center team helped 20 people within just a few days of opening, exceeding expectations during what was expected to be a ramp-up phase.

Walk-in appointments are available from 9am – 2pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Provident’s downtown office. Sessions are with graduate-level practicum students and are monitored by a senior staff member. Fees start at $5 with most insurance accepted.

Appointments can be scheduled by calling 314-533-8230.
