Finding hope and strength... together
Specialized services for those who have attempted or lost a loved one to suicide
Provident recognizes the unique emotional needs of those who have experience with suicide. We offer professionally-staffed services that provide caring support that encourages sharing, learning, growing, and healing.
Survivors of Suicide (S.O.S.)
The loss of a loved one to suicide is an experience unlike any other, leaving survivors with grief that is complex, intense, and difficult for others to understand. Provident has been offering S.O.S. groups for over 20 years to connect people who can help one another and access the knowledge of our professional staff.
There is no charge to attend these meetings and walk-ins are welcome.
Contact our staff, Joanna Sigmund, MA, LMFT at (314) 898-0100 or jsigmund@providentstl.org for more information.
You may fill out an S.O.S group registration form now (link below) or in-person at your first meeting.

Clergy Support Groups
Provident Behavioral Health recognizes the unique challenges faced by members of the clergy. We are proud to offer an interfaith Clergy Support Group, which fosters peer-to-peer interaction. Each group is facilitated by a licensed therapist who will prompt and encourage conversation and assess individuals who may benefit from more intensive services.
This is an open group format, allowing anyone to join at any time. To join, simply click on this link to join the Zoom conference group.
This group is available at no cost thanks to the Steward Family Foundation.
Groups are open and supportive in nature; confidentiality and basic ethical therapeutic practices will be followed.
Please send questions to info@providentstl.org or call our Information and First Appointment line at 314-533-8200 for more information.
