September 5 - 11th.  Let's raise awareness about the issue of suicide.  Learn the signs and symptoms so you can help those in need.

In the U.S., suicide is the second leading cause of death for those 15 - 24 years of age. For all ages, suicide is the 10th leading cause of death while homicide ranks 17th.  So despite all the attention that crime rates receive in the news, suicide should be a much larger concern.

Provident offers training to teach people how to recognize the signs and symptoms of suicide and also how to deal with it.  Please click here

It was an evening of fast wheels, jousting and lots of scoring by the St. Louis Gatekeeper's Roller Derby Team on Saturday, August 15th.  But in the midst of it all, there was a  push for awareness and prevention.  The Gatekeepers lost one of their co-founders, Evan Jones, by suicide a few weeks ago and they want to honor his memory and also prevent this type of tragedy from happening again.  They contacted us so we could spread the word about our crisis hotline and other services.  We're here to help those in need and
